Q.How are all these people related? A. All the families included in this database are connected to my grandson, Timothy Betts. For more information, please see the Welcome page.
Q. How do I find who I'm looking for? A. There are a number of ways, but the easiest is to use the Search box on the upper-right side. You can also use the Advanced Search screen that will allow you to enter specific information about the person you are looking for, such as dates, places and spouse's last name. If you are not looking for a specific person, you might try the the Surnames page.
Q. How do I find an individual’s ancestors or descendants? A. Links to pages that display an individual's ancestors or descendants are on a series of tabs located just below the individual's name.
Q. What are the Relationship and Timeline tabs? A. The Relationship page will calculate the relationship between two individuals, and the create a graphic display showing the ancestors they have in common. The Timeline tab shows major historical events that occured during the lifetime of an individual.
Q. What are the three dropdown boxes for that are located on the upper right of the page? A. These menus let you access additional information contained in the database. You can hover your mouse pointer over each to see various types of detailed information that is available. Please be aware that this site is still growing, and some of the menu entries may take you to pages without content.
Q. Is there a way to print the display without all the headers and icons? A. Yes, just click on the print link locate above the tabs, and a simplified page suitable for printing will be displayed. Click the print link, located in the upper-right hand corner of this new page, to send this page to your printer.
Q. How do I see what's new? A. You can find a summary of the latest additions to this website by clicking on the What's New link on the home page. This information also rotates through the Database Updates box.
