Peace Be With You!

Summer is winding down and school is just around the corner, and…like students of all ages heading back to school…we have a new fall adventure unfolding for everyone at First Christian Church! So, set aside mid-September through October for an all-church study of Unbinding Your Heart!

This book is about unbinding the Good News that God adores us and everyone else, that God has shown this to us through Jesus Christ, and that each of us really can share the joy of our relationship with the Lord with others. As we continue the New Beginnings process, the whole-church study of this book will center us together in scripture and prayer as we begin a new school year.

We are calling this small group experience an E-VENT…and pray that all will take part in a group. Sign up sheets are available in the foyer and classrooms for a time that will best fit in your new fall schedule, and, as we can, meeting times will be arranged around those requests so that EVERYONE can participate. Meetings will last for 1 ˝ hours for 6 weeks, beginning the week of September 20 and concluding the week of October 25.

People in churches of all denominations across the country are excited about what is happening in their congregations through E-VENTs such as this: deeper relationships with the Lord, a richer, meaningful prayer life, and a new sense of God’s activity in their daily lives…revitalizing and growing their relationships with family and friends as well as with God.
